Our Creative Arts ministry at Holy Cross exists to connect people with Jesus Christ for salvation, strength and service through Music, Art, and Media. Kids for Christ Choir - This choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 5:45pm - 6:15pm and works on a variety of music for church worship services. They work on singing in unison and sometimes 2 part as well as learning boomwhacker songs for worship and concert. Any child from our church and community may attend this choir. Contact Miss Jeannie Wright for more information. MEETING: Wednesdays, 5:45pm - 6:15pm (within that time) in Room 105

Heritage Choir – This choir is open to youth and adults who have a desire to sing. You don’t have to read music, although that would be helpful,  there will always be plenty of time to learn the anthems. They lead in our Heritage Worship Service on Sundays at 8:15am and sometimes sing in the 10:45am Majestic Praise Service. The anthems are a mix of liturgical, traditional, blended and contemporary stylings. Some gospel anthems are used at times and we sing with the Children’s Choir from time to time. MEETING: Wednesdays, 6:30pm - 7:30pm (within that time) in Room 105

Praise Band - This group of musicians are comprised of Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drum set, Percussion, Keyboard and/or piano. They lead primarily in our Sunday morning Majestic Praise Service at 10:45am and 1 Advent and 1 Lent service each year. Membership in this band is by interview with the Director of Music and audition. Members must be able to read key signature, time signature, and basic music notation. Playing by ear is acceptable if the person can read lead sheet and play what they hear on the music recordings. Ability to play along with Choral Anthems for special music is a must. A strong desire for people with a knowledge of modern worship songs is preferred. MEETING: 2nd Wednesday, 8:00pm - 9:30pm in the Sanctuary (1 Wednesday per month we work on new songs for 2 months time span) Every Sunday as assigned meet in Room 105 at 9:15 to put together books and 9:30 for setup and run through of worship songs.

Voices in Praise - If you have a desire to be part of a vocal ensemble, attendance in our Choir (at least 2 rehearsals per month) is a must. Members from our Vocal Ensembles will be called upon to lead in worship at 10:45am on Sunday mornings. Scheduling is critical for both the worship service, so it is critical that those signing up to be a V.I.P. member must be courteous to others on their team and respect the team approach as well as the commitment to a worship schedule and Choir. MEETING: Wednesdays, 8:00pm as needed in Room 105
