Michael Hafer, Pastor
At Holy Cross Lutheran Church, I hear over and over again how people have been loved and challenged in their faith. This church – Christ’s Church – is a truly exciting place to live and serve. What a joy it is to introduce you to our church! You’ll discover that our passion is to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience through Jesus Christ. This is a place where people know they are saved by Jesus death and resurrection.
God’s presence is among us. We are thankful for our short 24-year history, to connect the lives of people with Jesus and remind them of their glorious future. God’s grace is indeed amazing.
Together, we're striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there's relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community. So, whether you're a spiritual seeker who's just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Holy Cross.
Please peruse the information to see who we are, where we are, and where we are going. Ours is a great story, and we welcome you to become part of it. We seek to encourage your relationship with Jesus Christ and we challenge you to get connected in ministry with us as we pursue our mission: Go! Make disciples, baptize and teach them the commands of Christ!
May God alone be honored through the life and ministry of this, His Church. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Rejoicing In Jesus,
Michael Hafer, Pastor
Tony Cooper, Creative Worship Director
Tony has been the director of creative worship & arts at Holy Cross since September 2009. He comes from the creative staff of St. John Lutheran Church in Ellisville, MO. Tony’s varied musical past includes serving in several large and small Lutheran congregations as well as Baptist and Methodist congregations. This has allowed him to gain a fresh perspective on what it takes to relate our mission and focus as Lutherans to reach the 21st centuy person.
Tony’s belief is that music should be to 1) edify and equip believers for the work of the ministry and mission; and 2) inviting, helpful, and gospel-focused for seekers and the non-churched. Tony also holds a firm belief in raising up our next generation of leaders by promoting and using them in worship experiences in our weekend worship services. You’ll often times see more young people involved in leading worship and covering audio/video and band positions. To find out how you can get involved in our Creative worship program, email to
