About Worship Services

Welcoming

We are praying everyday that God sends people just like you into our lives.  And just as God has done with us, we seek to take people wherever they are in their walk with God. You will be greeted with a smile and a warm cup of coffee.

Whether you need space or want to engage in meaningful conversation, we seek to be responsive to your needs. If you are looking for deeper relationships, we also invite you to check out one our Living Stones Small groups. Go to the Information Booth for more information.

Spiritual

When we gather together, we believe that God himself is present through his Holy Spirit.  We offer up spiritual songs using our voices, and we seek to show that the Spirit is indeed among us by demonstrating the characteristics of the Spirit--love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We celebrate the Lord's Supper on first, third and fifth weeks, there encountering the risen Christ and remembering his death and resurrection.

Culturally Relevant

In today's culture, multimedia is a way of life, and so appropriate video, slides, and songs that enhance and illustrate the biblical message are used each Sunday. Our Internet based culture is also highly interactive, and so people share their stories or testimonies of faith, with questions being asked during the message to engage the members. Messages offer practical help for daily Christian living at work, in the family, and in the church.

CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR SERVICES

  • 8:15 a.m. - Traditions Service. Our Traditions service is one that follows the ancient form of worship of the church more commonly referred to as LITURGY. While we do not celebrate the full Liturgy each week, we do sing our Liturgy or parts of it throughout the month. It is important for those who are not from a Lutheran or more liturgical background to understand that the Liturgy is taken from the Word of God. While it is not media intensive as many of our more modern forms of worship, it is the most common of all worship orders known to man. Click here to learn more about the ancient service of the Liturgy.
  • 10:45 a.m. - Majestic Praise Service. A more contemporary worship service with praise songs, some hymns, praise band and singers as well as choir. This service does not use any ancient liturgical practice, but does have many of the more common worship elements that help to identify us as Lutherans. You'll sing songs like, Everlasting God, Shout to the North, Mighty to Save, Living He Loved Me as well as old classics like How Great Thou Art, Holy, Holy, Holy, Ancient Words, As the Deer and He is Exalted
  • .

* Holy Communion is celebrated at both worship services every Sunday.

Bible Classes / Sunday School

  • 9:30 a.m. - A variety of bible classes for adults and age appropriate Sunday school for children and youth.

Nursery

  • A nursery is located outside the sanctuary and is available for children ages three and younger.
