Christmas Giving 2016
There are thousands of ways to give a little extra to those in need at home and around the world this time of year. Below you will find options that are close to the heart of members at Holy Cross. Please consider a gift to one of the special needs below.
Keep the Children Warm
Some of our HC Family spent several years in an orphanage in Kazakhstan before becoming part of our HC family in 2004 and 2005 through adoption. HC has been sharing the love of Jesus with friends left behind since 2004. One of the ways we show we care is with our winter clothing project each December. This year you can help keep our friends warm by sponsoring a warm jacket for $40.00. Dereje, will be handing out our gifts in January and taking photos to share with the sponsors. You can place your donation in the offering plate or the collection box on the table outside the kitchen. Make Checks out to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Please write "KZ coats" on the memo line. Thank you for helping keep the children warm this winter!
Sunday Dinner
Each week a group of older orphans have the chance to learn a few cooking skills, practice dining etiquette, and enjoy time together as a family in a Christian setting with Dereje. These Sunday dinners open up opportunities for mentoring and encouragement. You can make a difference in a child's life by sponsoring a Sunday dinner for $50. Checks may be made out to Holy Cross and placed in the offering plate or the box outside the kitchen. Please label your check "KZ Sunday Dinner".
