As Easter has come and gone, and we now begin the Easter season leading to other significant festivals such as Pentecost Sunday, Trinity Sunday and the longer season of Pentecost (think lots of green for several months)...the choir season too is changing.
We'll take time off from April 21 - end of May. We will offer a Summer choir that will meet and work on different more simple arrangements, perhaps learning some new praise songs with the Praise team and keeping our voices nimble. This is also a season of change as we begin to say so long to Kimberlyn Krause as she moves on to her new life adventures and say hello to whoever God is bringing here to celebrate with us. We know this is going to be a great season of rest but also worship experiences. If you would like to volunteer to work on solo, duet or trio music during the next month, please let the Music Minister know right away.

We're coming up quickly on Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter Sunday - and there's still time to join the Foundation Singers to participate in this particular season of music ministry.
REHEARSALS DURING LENT 6:00pm - 6:45pm Sometimes we'll add after service rehearsal for 30 minutes. Traditionally, we've always done full year or semester choir. This year has taught me one thing, flexible seasonal participation is much better both on the budget, on my sanity and yours. Singers, don't feel like you have to commit long-term to choir if you only want to jump in for a particular season. See the season options below! Seasonal Choir Options: Fall (starts in Mid August) Christmas (starts in November) Lent/Easter (starts in January) Spring (starts around Mid March) Summer Choir (starts in 2nd Wed of June). Each season will have about 3-4 anthems, end with an appropriate celebration, and will see people transfer in and out. I'd love for some of you to jump in right now for Lent/Easter Choir and give it a shot. The songs are going to be fun and engaging, and we take necessary safety precautions in all rehearsals. Call the church office at (979) 764-3992 or email me at music@holycrossbcs.org to get a packet of music and choir folder. We'll see you IN THE LOFT!
